The purpose of adding the Close Tab Warning feature to the Firefox browser is to protect users from accidentally closing the tabs that they don’t want to. Firefox Close Tab Warning is a handy feature and users really like it. Although, users report that after updating to Firefox v94, it no longer works. What that means is if they hit the Close button all active tabs close automatically without any warning or confirmation.
How to Enable Close Tab Warning in Firefox 94
Fortunately, the same feature still exists in the browser previously it was enabled out of the box, but with Firefox v94 users have to enable it manually. If you can’t live without this feature, then here’s how you can enable it: Launch Firefox browser and then click on the Hamburger icon and select Settings. Switch to the General tab and then on the right side, scroll down to Tabs section. Here, you need to check the box for the option i.e. “Confirm before closing multiple tabs“. That’s it! From now onwards, whenever you try to close the browser when multiple tabs are opened, Close Tab Confirmation will start appearing again.
